Researchers from the University of Florida and Oklahoma have tested two groups of postmenopausal women for 12 months. One group ate 100 grams of dried prunes a day (about 10 prunes), and the other were eating 100 grams of dried apples. Both groups consumed calcium and vitamin D supplements. The results showed that the group that ate dried plums had significantly higher bone density in the spine and forearm.
