After the release of “Food Forensics”, a book which reveals information about the staggering amounts of lead in turmeric products, the FDA has taken enforcement on the subject. Gel Spice and JM Exotic Food are some of the manufacturers which have been found to issue recalls of their products because of the dangerous levels of lead in the spices.
Anyone who consumes turmeric products without being aware of their lead levels is actually eating dangerous heavy metal which is associated with heart damage, bone disorders, and brain damage. Lead is very common in turmeric products and powders since it is actually grown in high-lead soil in India and then imported into the U.S.
“Lead can accumulate in the body over time,” warns one FDA recall page. “Too much can cause health problems, including delayed mental and physical development and learning deficiencies. Pregnant women, infants, and young children especially should avoid exposure to lead. People concerned about blood lead levels should contact their physician or health clinic to ask about testing.”
THE HEALTH RANGER STORE IS THE ONLY RETAILER IN THE WORLD WHERE EVERYTHING IS SCIENTIFICALLY TESTED FOR HEAVY METALS:
The Health Ranger Store is currently the only health product manufacturer which tests their products for heavy metals. Due to the high lead content of raw materials, they reject about 80 percent of those materials, accepting only 20 percent.
But, the problem is that the toxic materials they reject are then bought by other manufacturers who sell them on Amazon.com, Whole Foods, and literally everywhere
THE FDA STILL WON’T CLAIM HOW MUCH LEAD IS TOO MUCH
The FDA checks food manufacturers across the U.S by visiting their facilities and taking samples of all products. However, they still hide the fact regarding the amount of lead required to trigger a recall.
Unfortunately, the FDA has never revealed any limit information for foods, drinks, or supplements, meaning that it is legal for manufacturers to sell products containing toxic levels of heavy metals, including lead.
For instance, organic rice protein products which are offered on the American market are still contaminated with lead and cadmium. Root spices like turmeric and ginger are contaminated with other heavy metals and bacteria counts, too.
Sadly, the FDA is falling behind the safety standards used in European countries or Canada. Although the reason remains unclear, the FDA still hasn’t established the heavy metal limits for foods, drinks, supplements, and spices offered on the American market.
WHERE TO GET CLEAN, TESTED TURMERIC PRODUCTS THAT DON’T CONTAIN DANGEROUS LEVELS OF HEAVY METALS?
If you would like to get clean and tested turmeric products which are free of dangerous levels of heavy metals, try out the Organic Turmeric Root Powder, Turmeric Gold Liquid Extract, and Organic Golden Turmeric Paste Kit, all of which are offered in the Health Ranger Store.
