Why Do We Wrinkle When Wet?

These experiments reveal amazing things!

Until 1935 it has been thought that the skin on our finger wrinkles after a long period in water, because of the osmosis and it has been thought that it stretches when wet.

But, the additional experiments reveal an amazing thing.

The video made by SciShow explains how our skin reacts after some time spent in water and reveals what leads to this reaction.

Namely, the central nervous system is responsible for the wrinkles on our finger skin.

When our fingers are in water for a longer time, our brain reacts and it leads to wrinkles so that we can catch anything under water with our hands.

So, if it has been thought for a long time that this is an unnecessary appearance, the wrinkles on our fingers has its evolutionary reason.
